The dictionary definition of Fear says: An unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. Synonyms: Terror, fright, horror, alarm, panic, distress, etc. No one likes those feelings, but why do we have them? 2 Nephi 2:27 says : "Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself." Satan is the creator of these emotions. We need to recognize that those feelings do not come from Jesus Christ or Heavenly Father. Christ brings peace which is the total opposite. We must never mistake the 2. The link below is a Mormon Message called: Men's hearts shall fail them. If you've seen it already, that's okay watch it again! :) If you haven't click away and watch. It is one of my favorites! https://youtu.be/EMwKxmTLaCs I love how Russell M. Nelson said that, "If you've got faith, you can handle difficulties. With an eternal perspective, all will be well. Be patient with yourself, perfection comes not in this life but in the next life. Let the Lord help you." My mom has a quote hung up in her bathroom that says "The scriptures tell us to not fear 365 times, that is a daily reminder from God to live everyday without fear."

Omni 1: 26 "And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved."

I loved Elder Devin G. Durrant's talk and his amazing idea of ponderizing. I thought "Why not put that as our Motivation Monday?!" It is so important to not only listen to conference the day of but to follow through with the teachings and take them into our lives everyday thereafter. Al (fox) Carraway said this on one of her insta posts "Be the type of person that shares the gospel online when it's not #ldsconf." So true and will be so rewarding if we do so. So the scripture I chose for this week to ponderize is Mosiah 3:19. it says... " For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and puteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father." Elder Durrant said " 80% extended pondering, 20% memorizing. Create a higher place for your thoughts to go." Try not to get too overwhelmed of the memorization part, ponder the meaning. I hope you will decide to join in on the ponderizing. I know a lot of good will come out of it. Hope you all have an awesome week! Much love. |

Ponderize Of The Week:
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." - James 1:5-6 Quote Of The Week:
"Give it to God and go to sleep." - Unknown |
