For today's Sunday post I thought it would be perfect to share the hashtag and this Christmas season's new initiative. #ASaviorIsBorn !! When I first heard about it, I thought... Ahh that's so perfect! So without further a due click on the link below to watch the video that the church put together. If you've already seen it, that's okay watch it again or with your fam!:)
https://youtu.be/q_TEOyhy7Bg As we celebrate Christmas this year, let's remember the reason for the season. It is so easy to get caught up in all the hustle and bustle and trying to pick out just the right gifts for everyone, all the holiday baking, all the glitter and bows, wrapping, etc. All of that stuff is awesome and great and super fun, but that is not what it's all about. I think the hashtag #ASaviorIsBorn is so perfect and relevant for this time of year. I love the scripture that says "For unto us a child is born. And his name shall be called wonderful, counselor, the Almighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of peace." -Isaiah 9:6 He is our literal Savior and Redeemer. He atoned for our sins and shortcomings so that we can be healed through Him. He suffered for us so that we wouldn't have to. Death has no sting. We can have joy. That knowledge alone brings so much peace and I am SO grateful for that. I am so grateful for Him. I am grateful that our loving Heavenly Father gave his only begotten son to die... for us. So what better way to celebrate this season than of his birth! I came across a quote from Thomas S. Monson, he said "As we exchange gifts at Christmas, may we remember, appreciate, and receive that greatest gift of all gifts-- the gift of our Savior and Redeemer, that we might have eternal life." I hope you all will keep that in mind. Have a wonderful Christmas season and cherish every minute of it. If you missed it, check out DAY 2 of the "12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS" that I have started on my instagram @_simplyness_ Love you all. Ness

Ponderize Of The Week:
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." - James 1:5-6 Quote Of The Week:
"Give it to God and go to sleep." - Unknown |
