For the past few days I've been struggling to find just the right topic to write about for today. I usually have it all planned out in my head of what I'm going to do, but this time I just had no clue. So I thought "I'll probably figure it out once church is over." Sure enough I did. And Kim (my YW's leader) shoutout to you if you're reading this cause I felt I should add my thoughts and testimony based on your lesson you gave today. Love you girl! it was perfect. So before I jump right in, here's a video you can watch that really hit home for me! Click the link below! :) https://youtu.be/wiiadnMvm20 (Click the READ MORE button) Don't you just love Elder Uchtdorf? He said everything so perfectly. There have been times where I've struggled to truly find myself. I've asked, who am I really? Where am I going to go in life? Am I going to reach my goals? Through a lot of prayer I have gotten these prayers answered. He is aware of us and our needs. I am so grateful that my Heavenly Father loves me. And He loves you. It does not matter if you're short, tall, thin, or round, broken, barely hanging on, happy, sad, nervous, anxious, or all of the above... He loves you for who you are and who you are going to be. Once we understand His love for us, we will truly begin to understand how important we are, how much we matter. Because you DO matter. You are a son or daughter of the most powerful being. You ARE loved.
We are all different and unique in so many ways. And that is O.K. We are meant to be that way because individually we have a lot to give. My YW's leader also showed us a video called "What heaven see's in you" Here is the link if you want to watch it... https://youtu.be/C8TNpZOdYA8 Despite our mistakes, trials, shortcomings, flaws, etc. Heavenly Father loves us just the way we are. It's that simple. He has so many awesome blessings in store for us. Believe and trust in that. Here's a cute little quote by Dr. Seuss to end your Sunday: "Today you are you! That is true-er than true! There is no one alive that is you-er than you! Shout aloud "I am glad to be what I am!" Thank goodness I'm not a clam or a ham or a dusty old jar of gooseberry jam! I am what I am! What a great thing to be! If I say so myself, Happy everyday to me!" Happy Sabbath! Have a great week <3

Love this! When you asked for topics, I was thinking this would be perfect. As a leader, that's all I ever wanted the girls to figure out...who they are...and to know their individual worth. Once you know and understand that, everything else makes sense. Love that you have experienced this...and are sharing it and writing it down. When you are having hard times, you can look back on your thoughts and feelings and remember.

Ponderize Of The Week:
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." - James 1:5-6 Quote Of The Week:
"Give it to God and go to sleep." - Unknown |
